About the Role
The Gas Foreman leads a crew to install and repair natural gas pipelines and joint‑trench utilities, ensuring safety, quality, and on‑time project completion. Responsibilities include coordinating daily tasks, obtaining permits, overseeing pressure testing, conducting safety inspections, documenting work, and communicating with customers, inspectors, and senior management. The role also involves training new hires, tracking crew hours for payroll, and operating equipment to support field operations. • Lead crew in installing and repairing natural gas pipelines using open‑cut or directional drilling methods. • Obtain all necessary licenses, permits, and materials for each project. • Coordinate daily tasks, conduct toolbox talks, and perform weekly safety inspections. • Ensure work quality, complete required documentation, and submit crew hours for payroll. • Train new hires and trainees on gas line construction techniques and safety procedures. • Drive, haul, and operate equipment to support crew operations. • Communicate with customers, inspectors, and senior management regarding project status. • Perform pressure testing, fusing, tapping, and purging of gas lines. • Enforce OSHA and MasTec safety standards at all times. • Operate heavy equipment and perform general construction tasks safely.

What You Bring
The position requires a high‑school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of gas pipeline construction or maintenance experience with two years in a supervisory capacity, a CDL Class A, and OSHA 10 certification. Candidates must be proficient in fusing, tapping, pressure testing, purging, heavy‑equipment operation, and interpreting plans while adhering to the highest safety standards. Preferred experience includes work with Atmos Gas, and the job demands physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lb and working in extreme weather conditions. • Maintain proficiency in reading plans, visual inspection of joints, and meeting customer specifications. • Preferred: Prior experience with Atmos Gas.
