About the Role

Typical daily activities include pre‑site preparations, equipment startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modifications. FSRs also engage in problem solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, and district service teams, and they complete field service reports, expense reports, and maintenance documentation. Additional responsibilities may involve regional or countrywide travel, including overnight trips, assisting senior technicians, supporting project management on larger system start‑ups, collaborating with other FSRs and project managers on complex projects, and acting on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues. • Perform assembly, startup, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on power distribution and critical power equipment. • Solve technical problems with customers, electricians, sales partners, and support teams. • Complete field service reports, expense reports, and maintenance documentation. • Travel regionally (including overnight) to provide customer support and assist senior technicians. • Collaborate with project managers and district service managers on complex projects. • Follow safety procedures (lock‑out/tag‑out, NFPA‑70E/OSHA) and report hazards promptly. • Operate test and diagnostic equipment and maintain safe vehicle operations.

What You Bring

Candidates should have an Associate’s degree, trade or vocational certification, military training, or equivalent electrical‑related experience, along with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. A thorough understanding of AC and DC power principles, 2+ years of field service repair experience with UPS, power distribution, ATS, or related equipment, and at least 2 years in field services or a comparable industry are required. Safety is a priority; applicants must follow lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, adhere to company safety policies, and preferably have experience with NFPA‑70E or OSHA standards. They must also possess safe driving skills, be proficient with test and diagnostic equipment, and be able to write clear service reports and correspondence. The role demands physical stamina, including lifting up to 40 lb, bending, stooping, and working in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, or dust. The position offers a compensation range of $66,000 to $99,000 annually, comprising base salary and short‑term incentive, and applies to candidates located in the United States. Pay within the range is influenced by performance, knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
