About the Role
In this role you will manage cost throughout the entire project lifecycle—from business case development to commissioning—ensuring accurate, value‑driven delivery. You will also help grow the Scotland practice by mentoring team members and contributing to business development initiatives. • Manage cost from inception to commissioning for large defence and infrastructure projects. • Provide accurate, value‑driven cost reporting and commercial advice to clients. • Mentor and develop junior team members within the Scotland practice. • Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary, multi‑organisation project teams. • Build and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders to expand the portfolio.

What You Bring
Applicants must have at least seven years of cost management or quantity surveying experience on large‑scale infrastructure or defence projects, strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts (especially PSC and ECC Options A and C), and a proven track record of cost/commercial management in integrated multi‑organisation teams. Experience working within a client organisation and the ability to influence key stakeholders are also essential. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent), MRICS accreditation (or progress toward it), NEC4 Project Management accreditation, and the ability to obtain or already hold Security Clearance (SC). • Minimum 7 years cost management/quantity surveying experience on large‑scale projects. • Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts, especially PSC and ECC Options A/C. • Experience delivering cost/commercial management in integrated team environments. • Client‑side experience or secondment background considered advantageous. • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (preferred). • MRICS accreditation or progress toward it (preferred). • NEC4 Project Management accreditation or willingness to undertake the course (preferred). • Ability to obtain or hold Security Clearance (SC) (preferred).
