About the Role

The manager focuses on execution, monitoring, supplier performance, quality, delivery, productivity, and alignment with company strategy. Responsibilities include proposing actions such as multi‑sourcing, risk reduction, value engineering, supplier changes, outsourcing, lean initiatives, and project transfers, all consistent with commodity strategy. They will work with the commodity manager on localization or business allocation changes, manage supplier consultation and selection, qualification, contract negotiation, and maintain purchasing data. They serve as the first escalation point for supplier crises and follow up on quality and cost‑reduction objectives. Additional duties involve relationship management with vendors, initiating and delivering supplier‑change projects, quality/value‑engineering ideas, outsourcing, and communicating with regional entities. The role reports to the Regional Category Leader. • Execute and monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery, and productivity aligned with company strategy. • Propose and implement actions such as multi‑sourcing, risk mitigation, value engineering, supplier changes, outsourcing, lean projects, and market benchmarking. • Collaborate with commodity manager on localization and business allocation decisions. • Manage supplier consultation, selection, qualification, and contract negotiations. • Update purchasing databases with spend and supplier information. • Serve as first escalation point for supplier crises and drive quality and cost‑reduction initiatives. • Maintain vendor relationships and lead supplier‑change and value‑engineering projects. • Communicate project plans and progress to regional stakeholders.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field, at least seven years of direct procurement/sourcing experience (including 2‑3 years in management), strong negotiation and category‑strategy skills, influential communication, business acumen, MS Office proficiency, and strong organizational, analytical, and writing abilities. • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. • Minimum 7 years procurement/sourcing experience, with 2‑3 years in a managerial role. • Proven negotiation and category‑strategy expertise. • Strong influencing and communication skills. • Business acumen and proficiency in MS Office. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and writing abilities.
