About the Role

The Director is accountable for all aspects of the department, including compliance, assessments, staffing, budgeting, and hands‑on care, ensuring resident needs are met in line with physician orders and regulations. They monitor care plan effectiveness, evaluate staff performance, conduct audits, deliver training, coordinate ancillary services, and maintain communication with physicians, families, and associates while providing 24/7 on‑call support. • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Health & Wellness department, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care. • Ensure department compliance with state regulations and company policies. • Conduct thorough resident assessments. • Guarantee resident care aligns with physician orders, regulations, and policies. • Monitor care‑plan progress via written notes and verbal communication. • Evaluate health and wellness staff competencies and overall performance. • Perform nursing audits (med carts, eMARS/TARS) to maintain compliance. • Implement training programs and in‑services for all associates. • Provide leadership, maintain optimal staffing levels and shift schedules. • Coordinate ancillary support services for residents. • Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians, families, and staff. • Manage department budget for staffing and supplies. • Assist with nurse coverage as needed. • Fulfill 24/7 on‑call responsibilities.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold an accredited nursing degree and a current NJ RN license in good standing, with at least four years of supervisory experience in senior or long‑term care settings. Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb and using proper body mechanics are also required. • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current NJ RN license in good standing. • Minimum four years of supervisory experience in senior living, assisted living, long‑term care, or skilled care. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new applications quickly. • Capable of physical duties including lifting up to 50 lb and using proper body mechanics.
