About the Role

WSP is hiring a full‑time Environmental Project Manager (Professional – Chargé(e) de projet en gestion environnementale) reporting to the Environmental and Risk Management Manager. The incumbent will lead, coordinate and execute diverse risk‑ and environmental‑management projects in industrial and mining settings, prepare and submit environmental permit applications, conduct compliance inspections and audits, develop emergency‑response plans and risk analyses, coordinate industrial‑accident consequence modelling and simulation exercises, and support hazardous‑material reporting and national pollutant‑release inventories. Additional duties include preparing service proposals, managing project budgets and schedules, maintaining client communication, attending project meetings and producing technical or scientific reports with recommendations. • Rédaction de rapports scientifiques et évaluations environnementales • Réalisation d’inspections, audits environnementaux et analyses de risques

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, environmental management, environmental sciences or a related field and have at least five years of relevant experience. Required knowledge includes industrial project management, environmental and social impact studies, permit processes (MELCC‑FP), scientific report writing, inspections, audits and risk analysis, as well as emission reporting under federal and provincial regulations (INRP, IQÉA, etc.). Preferred qualifications are VEA® certification, familiarity with the Canadian Mining Association’s sustainable mining program, and experience in environmental due‑diligence reviews. The role also demands autonomy, initiative, attention to detail, strong analytical and team‑working skills, fluency in written and spoken French, proficiency with Microsoft Office, a general health‑and‑safety construction certificate (ASP) – an asset – and a valid driver’s licence. • Baccalauréat en génie chimique ou domaine connexe • Minimum 5 ans d’expérience similaire • Connaissance de la gestion de projet en milieu industriel • Expérience d’études d’impacts environnementaux et sociaux • Expérience dans les demandes d’autorisations auprès du MELCCFP • Déclarations d’émissions selon réglementation (INRP, IQÉA, etc.) • Connaissance des lois, règlements et normes environnementales • Certification Vérificateur environnemental agréé (VEA®) – atout • Connaissance du programme « Vers le développement minier durable » et certification d’auditeur – atout • Expérience en revue de diligence environnementale (acquisition/financement) – atout • Autonomie, initiative, souci du détail, bonne capacité d’analyse, travail d’équipe • Maîtrise du français (parlé et écrit) • Bonne maîtrise de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Attestation du cours Santé et sécurité générale sur les chantiers (ASP) – atout • Permis de conduire valide et admissible à contrat de location de véhicules
