About the Role
As a Subject Matter Expert – Fixed Assets, you will manage asset capital investment activities, providing financial oversight and ensuring compliance with policies. The role oversees the end‑to‑end capital investment process, from proposal preparation and review to financial reporting, forecasting and governance. You will partner with internal stakeholders to gather data, prepare investment proposals, and support monthly Capital Board and Investment Committee meetings. Responsibilities also include ensuring accurate asset classification in ERP systems, preparing monthly financial reports, and delivering precise forecasts and depreciation calculations. • Prepare capital project proposals with cost‑benefit analysis, NPV, IRR and DCF calculations, ensuring compliance with Group Capital policy. • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather data for investment proposals. • Define agendas, create pre‑read materials and support monthly Capital Board and Investment Committee meetings. • Ensure assets are correctly classified in ERP systems and submit monthly reports on accruals, depreciation and capital commitments. • Produce accurate forecasts for asset programs and calculate depreciation during budgeting cycles. • Enforce internal control frameworks and monitor compliance with fixed‑asset and capital‑investment policies. • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities in capital investment workflows. • Develop and publish annual timetables for value‑stream capital investment planning and board submissions. • Leadership in onboarding and training junior analysts.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has 6‑8+ years of fixed‑asset accounting experience, holds a qualified accountant designation (CA, CPA, ACCA) or equivalent, and possesses advanced SAP FI‑AA and Excel modelling skills. Strong technical accounting knowledge of IAS 16, IAS 36, IFRS 5, and experience with intercompany asset transfers and audits are required. Key competencies include deep understanding of Acquire‑to‑Retire processes, data‑driven problem solving, effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams, and a proactive ownership mindset. Leadership involves mentoring junior analysts and driving continuous improvement and automation in capital investment processes, all within an inclusive and respectful workplace. • 6‑8+ years experience in fixed‑asset accounting with a professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) or equivalent. • Advanced SAP FI‑AA and Excel modelling skills, including investment modelling. • Strong technical accounting knowledge of IAS 16, IAS 36, IFRS 5 and experience with intercompany asset transfers and audits. • Proven ability to support senior stakeholder meetings and prepare investment committee documentation. • In‑depth understanding of Acquire‑to‑Retire processes and related policy interpretation. • Data‑driven problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis for complex queries. • Effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams such as Procurement and Business. • Ownership and accountability for query resolution, accuracy and timely escalation of risks.
