About the Role

The Community Manager reports to the Regional Manager and is accountable for all aspects of on‑site operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administrative and risk management. This on‑site leader ensures compliance with Asset Living policies, safety standards, and fair‑housing regulations while supervising staff and maintaining property performance. The role may require overtime, weekend and night hours for emergencies, as well as reliable transportation for on‑call duties. This description outlines expected duties but is not exhaustive; responsibilities may be adjusted at the supervisor’s request. • Hire, train, coach, and schedule on‑site staff while addressing performance issues. • Ensure staff compliance with company policies, fair housing and OSHA guidelines. • Develop and manage annual operating budgets, monitor rent collections, vendor invoices and achieve optimal net operating income. • Create and execute yearly marketing plans, leasing strategies, and resident retention programs. • Respond to resident complaints, handle showings, lease signings and move‑in processes. • Oversee accurate and timely administrative and leasing reporting. • Lead property emergency response teams and coordinate maintenance requests. • Conduct regular property inspections, manage repairs, and supervise construction or rehabilitation projects. • Maintain property appearance and manage vendor relationships to control costs. • Meet physical demands including standing, lifting up to 25 lb, climbing ladders, and working overtime or on‑call.

What You Bring

• Possess a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred) and 1–4 years housing industry experience; CAM or ARM certification preferred. • Demonstrate proficiency with on‑site software and basic computer skills. • Have reliable transportation for emergency on‑call responsibilities.

Benefits

Compensation is competitive, with a salary range of $60,000 – $65,000, supplemented by a comprehensive total‑rewards package that includes health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) matching, performance bonuses, paid sick leave and holidays.
