About the Role
Mortenson is hiring a Superintendent I who will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and supervising assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities within a specific discipline. The role also focuses on developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service. • Plan and implement material, equipment, and inspection schedules to support the project timeline. • Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability. • Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies. • Develop and maintain project schedules, including three- and six-week look-ahead plans. • Create and lead site logistics plans while utilizing Mortenson tools and equipment. • Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews; manage hiring, transfers, and dismissals as needed. • Coach and mentor assistant superintendents and other team members, providing performance feedback. • Ensure accurate task coding of work hours, track progress, and monitor craft productivity. • Lead safety, quality, risk, and compliance efforts for the project and team. • Identify unfavorable conditions and implement process improvements.

What You Bring

The role may require up to 100% travel. • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 10 years of trade experience. • Minimum five years of construction management or related experience. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100% of the time. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple complex projects. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledgeable of construction law and business practices.

Benefits
The position offers a base salary ranging from $111,400 to $167,100, with higher ranges for certain locations such as Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Washington, D.C.
