About the Role
The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the overall success of multiple simultaneous environmental projects, overseeing budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and technical deliverables while mentoring junior staff and maintaining client relationships. • Mentor junior staff and support team development. • Attend project meetings and resolve technical or administrative issues. • Market services and expand the client database. • Manage project budgets, prepare change orders, review invoices, and assist with collections. • Schedule, train, and oversee subordinate staff members. • Prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. • Oversee multiple environmental projects and guide junior staff in issue resolution. • Prepare and review proposals, change orders, and environmental reports. • Conduct peer and senior reviews of deliverables before principal submission. • Lead client discussions, follow up on reports, and address questions. • Collaborate with other managers on staffing decisions. • Complete internal Phase I ESA training and perform Phase I ESAs independently. • Review Phase I ESAs of subordinate staff prior to principal review. • Initiate project setup, conduct site reconnaissance, prepare reports, and manage project closeout. • Produce high‑quality technical writing, proofread documents, and perform peer reviews for grammar and content.

Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. The role ensures that all tasks on a project—from proposal to final invoice payment—are completed either directly or through subordinates. The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients and exemplifies a positive customer‑service attitude aligned with ECS Core Values. Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related science, possess at least five years of relevant experience, and preferably carry a Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist license. They demonstrate extensive knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and testing methods, as well as strong technical writing, client development, and project delegation skills.
