About the Role
As a trusted advisor you will deliver the highest level of service, solve building inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items for customers, providing solutions and outcomes at the time of service. • Perform HVAC equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting at client sites. • Participate in certified Service Technical Academy training to earn factory certification. • Provide expert advice, solutions, and quotes to improve building efficiency and resolve service issues. • Communicate job progress and issues to Johnson Controls, contractors, and customers. • Meet attendance requirements for required Union training during the first year. • Identify and pursue upselling opportunities to support facility performance.

What You Bring
The company provides factory certification through its Service Technical Academy (STA) and equips apprentices with the tools and a vehicle needed to perform their jobs to the highest standard. Apprentices will be trained on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites, participate in certified STA training, and develop troubleshooting skills through coaching and mentorship. They will keep JCI, contractors and customers informed of job progress, meet Union training attendance requirements, and provide recommendations, quotes and upselling opportunities to ensure facility efficiency. The ideal candidate must be a member or be willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry, have at least one year of experience servicing mechanical HVAC systems, and possess knowledge of mechanical HVAC, facilities management, site preparation and peripheral equipment installation. Effective interpersonal and leadership skills, the ability to work independently, a strong safety focus and a valid driver’s license are required. Preferred qualifications include one to two years of technical trade school or college education. • Be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry. • Have at least 1 year of experience servicing mechanical HVAC systems and related equipment knowledge. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, leadership, and safety skills; hold a valid driver’s license. • Preferably possess 1–2 years of technical trade school or college education.
