About the Role

In this role, the specialist will conduct safety inspections, maintain safety policies, and oversee subcontractor compliance. Responsibilities also include risk assessment, hazard identification, work‑site training, incident investigation, regulatory compliance, and collaborating with clients and contractors to promote a proactive safety culture. • Conduct safety inspections and enforce safety policies across subcontractors. • Perform risk assessments, hazard identification, and develop control measures. • Deliver on‑site safety training and education for workers. • Investigate incidents and accidents, producing thorough reports. • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations. • Collaborate with clients and contractors to foster a proactive safety culture.

What You Bring

Applicants must be U.S. citizens with at least three years of experience managing safety programs in construction or general industry, hold an OSHA 30‑hour certification, and possess strong knowledge of OSHA and other relevant regulations. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills are required to lead training sessions and develop effective controls. Preferred qualifications include professional certifications such as GSP or ASP, and competent‑person designations for lockout/tagout, scaffolding, fall protection, and excavation. Physical demands involve long periods of sitting or standing, the ability to work day or Saturday shifts, outdoor work in all weather conditions, and wearing required personal protective equipment. • Minimum 3 years of construction or general industry safety experience; OSHA 30‑hour certification required. • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and excellent communication skills. • Preferred certifications: GSP or ASP; competent‑person qualifications for LOTO, scaffolding, fall protection, excavation. • Physical ability to sit/stand for long periods, work day or Saturday shifts, and operate outdoors in all weather while wearing required PPE.
