About the Role

The Data & Asset Management Specialist will join the Geospatial and Asset Information team to support core information systems such as the Project CDE, GIS, and asset management platforms. Reporting to the Geospatial and Asset Lead, the role oversees the capture, production, management and dissemination of geospatial, project and asset data, ensuring they meet client standards and acting as the key contact for asset information standards and procedures. The specialist will work closely with delivery teams to ensure all geospatial and asset data satisfy required information needs and acceptance criteria, providing assurance across projects. They will also collaborate with the digital function to implement an asset data management approach based on UniClass. • Collaborate with the digital function to establish an asset data management approach using UniClass. • Optimize the use of existing digital solutions across the client. • Research and recommend key technologies needed for effective asset management implementation. • Work with construction, installation, operation and maintenance stakeholders on client assets. • Ensure accuracy, consistency and integrity of asset data through quality control measures and best practices. • Hands‑on production and management of asset data.

What You Bring

• >7 years experience in asset data production and management for high‑value metro rail projects. • Proven ability to work in highly collaborative environments and engage with stakeholders at all levels. • Strong background developing structured data for rail or large‑scale infrastructure projects. • Experience influencing processes, providing guidance and supporting project delivery and reporting. • Track record of driving best practice in technical activities, processes, policies and standards. • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP. • Demonstrated expertise in data governance, data quality and regulatory compliance. • Familiarity with industry frameworks like DAMA‑DMBOK. • Asset management experience applying ISO 50001 and BIM (ISO 19650) standards. • Understanding design and delivery requirements for complex AEC projects. • Knowledge of quality management and process improvement in construction. • Ability to engage and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Skilled in identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks. • Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. • Problem‑solving and issue‑resolution capabilities. • Strong interpersonal influence with technical and non‑technical groups. • Analytical and organisational skills. • Level 8 undergraduate degree in data analytics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, information systems or a related field.
