About the Role

The manager will lead multidisciplinary teams, collaborate with designers, contractors, operators, and regulators, and act as the primary technical interface for permanent‑way matters. Responsibilities include technical leadership, design review, construction assurance, maintenance planning, safety and compliance, performance monitoring, contract management, and team development. • Lead permanent‑way engineering for high‑speed rail, including slab and ballasted track systems. • Develop and implement track asset management and lifecycle cost‑optimization strategies. • Establish engineering standards, specifications, and procedures compliant with international HSR norms (EN, UIC, ISO, AREMA). • Review and approve design submissions, method statements, and technical calculations; ensure integration with civil works, electrification, signaling, and rolling stock. • Oversee construction and installation of track components, providing engineering assurance, reviewing ITPs, and conducting site audits. • Define maintenance regimes and supervise predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance using condition monitoring and data analytics. • Ensure safety compliance with railway safety management systems, conduct hazard assessments, and support certification and regulatory approvals. • Monitor track performance indicators and drive continuous improvement to enhance reliability and reduce lifecycle costs. • Manage track‑related contracts, consultants, and suppliers; support procurement, bid evaluation, and contract administration. • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of track engineers and inspectors, fostering competency and knowledge transfer.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications are a BA/BS plus 10 years of relevant experience (including 2 years of leadership) or equivalent, and Chartered Engineer status. Preferred qualifications include experience across construction and operational phases of high‑speed rail, familiarity with digital track monitoring, advanced permanent‑way expertise, strategic thinking, and strong stakeholder communication skills.
