About the Role

The engineer will lead structural design across a variety of building types, provide technical input, mentor junior staff, and communicate complex solutions to clients. Additional duties include site visits, quality‑control reviews, proposal development, and compliance with permitting and client standards while operating independently under the guidance of the department manager. • Lead structural engineering on small to large building projects using various construction methodologies. • Provide technical input and develop structural designs for studies and client proposals. • Mentor and train junior staff on constructability and design methodologies. • Present complex technical solutions directly to clients and stakeholders. • Conduct construction site visits to monitor progress and verify design intent. • Perform quality‑control reviews of team deliverables and approve final work. • Contribute to technical proposals, estimating engineering budgets and schedules. • Review permitting agency, engineering standards, and client design standards for compliance. • Work independently on design tasks while coordinating with the department and project managers.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in structural engineering, be a licensed Professional Engineer, and have at least six years of relevant experience; U.S. citizenship is required. Preferred qualifications include ten years of building‑design experience, recent work on facilities projects, proficiency with ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements or RISA, and familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit. • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, PE licensure, ≥6 years experience, U.S. citizenship. • Preferred: ≥10 years building‑development experience, recent facilities design work, proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements or RISA; AutoCAD and Revit skills.
