About the Role

Key responsibilities include leading high‑risk activities with a strong safety mindset to reduce risk exposure, supervising day‑to‑day production and making decisions that affect overall business performance, and managing people to achieve team goals. You will also ensure the quarry is well‑maintained, monitor stock levels of components and consumables, and drive improvements in work practices, equipment commissioning, and environmental, health, and safety compliance. • Lead and supervise daily quarry production while prioritizing safety. • Manage team performance and coach staff to improve output. • Ensure equipment maintenance, stock levels, and compliance with environmental and H&S standards. • Identify and implement process improvements, new equipment commissioning, and root‑cause problem solving. • Utilize SAP CMMS for asset and maintenance tracking. • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and deliver exceptional customer service. • Provide career development, training and mentoring opportunities.

What You Bring

We are seeking a motivated, safety‑focused professional to join our team as a Production Supervisor at the Canberra Quarry in Williamsdale, about 35 minutes from Canberra. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, this full‑time role will oversee quarry operations with a focus on enhancing production performance. The ideal candidate can coach and develop a team while focusing on production enhancement, is results‑driven, self‑motivated, and committed to Zero Harm. They bring a passion for exceptional customer service, can multitask and make quick decisions under pressure, are familiar with SAP CMMS, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong problem‑solving skills, a background in quarrying, mining or construction, and a Certificate IV in Surface Mining Operations (or equivalent) are required. • Hold a Certificate IV in Surface Mining Operations (or equivalent) with experience in quarrying, mining, or construction.
