About the Role
The Mechanical Estimator prepares accurate, competitive cost estimates for geothermal and mechanical construction projects, analyzing drawings, specifications, and subsurface data to price ground‑source heat pump systems, piping, drilling coordination, and related mechanical scopes while collaborating with pre‑construction, engineering, and operations teams. • Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. • Analyze blueprints, specifications, geotechnical reports, and RFP/RFQ documents to generate accurate pricing. • Perform quantity takeoffs for piping, heat pumps, mechanical equipment, and related components. • Coordinate pricing and scope alignment with MEP contractors, specialty vendors, and suppliers. • Participate in pre‑bid meetings, site walks, and subcontractor audits. • Identify risks, value‑engineering opportunities, and constructability considerations. • Maintain estimating databases, templates, and cost libraries; assist with post‑bid reviews and cost variance analysis.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 3–7+ years of mechanical estimating experience, preferably in geothermal or HVAC. • Proficiency with estimating software, CAD drawings, and Microsoft Excel. • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.

Benefits
