About the Role
Key duties include preparing concept studies, transport statements, transport assessments, travel plans, parking and access studies, and supporting proposals through the planning process. You will also manage client and stakeholder relationships, lead multidisciplinary design teams, and ensure projects are delivered on budget, schedule, and to technical and legal standards. • Deliver concept studies, transport statements, assessments, travel plans, parking and access studies for development projects. • Provide specialist transport advice to private‑sector and local‑authority clients, supporting planning approvals. • Manage client and stakeholder relationships to ensure collaborative and harmonious working environments. • Lead project delivery to budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements. • Mentor and guide junior technical staff within the multidisciplinary team. • Participate in inclusive employee resource groups fostering a culture of belonging.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a numerate first degree in Transport, Civil Engineering, Planning or a related field, and has significant experience delivering transport‑planning projects across development, sustainable transport and junction design. Proficiency with junction‑modelling software (e.g., Junctions 9, ARCADY, Linsig), strong communication and presentation skills, and a track record of financial and programme management are essential. Experience in line management and progression towards chartered status is also required. • Hold a numerate degree in Transport, Civil Engineering, Planning or a related discipline. • Demonstrate extensive experience in transport planning, including junction modelling (e.g., Junctions 9, ARCADY, Linsig). • Exhibit strong communication, presentation and written reporting skills. • Possess financial and programme management expertise, including line‑management experience. • Be progressing towards chartered status or have equivalent commercial experience.
