About the Role
Safely operates a heavy‑duty truck on transfer routes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role requires adherence to Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards, as well as company expectations for fleet safety. Drivers must conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR), report any unsafe situations, and follow scheduled training. They work closely with operations managers to improve route efficiency and handle incidents, accidents, or property damage. Drivers communicate customer requests, manage container dumping, ensure sites are left clean, and position containers correctly. Finally, they follow route assignments throughout the day and complete all required documentation. • Operate vehicle in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR). • Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or property damage. • Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Follow route assignments, assist other drivers as directed, and complete all documentation. • Communicate customer requests and issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager. • Dump containers, clean the customer site, and securely position containers. • Submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal. • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle throughout the shift.

No formal education is required, but candidates must hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B), be at least 18 years old, and have an acceptable driving record. Successful applicants must also pass a pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical examination, background check, and motor vehicle record review.
