About the Role

The Assistant Engineering Manager role supports the Engineering Manager in achieving excellence in preventive maintenance and energy conservation at the client facility. The position also drives ambition in facilities management, aligning personal goals with JLL’s business objectives. Key responsibilities include overseeing preventive maintenance programs, assisting with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing project scopes, and managing facility, contract, and procurement activities for technical services. The role contributes to financial targets, meets KPI and SLA goals, and implements technology tools to enhance property operations. Operational duties involve supervising MEP and civil maintenance, preparing critical spare‑parts lists, managing inventory, and executing pre‑emptive maintenance to minimize equipment failures. The incumbent reviews contractor practices, maintains logbooks and PPM schedules, handles downtime and ad‑hoc setups, and assumes soft‑service responsibilities when needed. Reporting tasks require daily M&E updates to the Engineering Manager, generation of service maintenance, inventory, purchasing, and downtime incident reports, ensuring transparent communication of performance and issues. Performance objectives focus on delivering best‑practice services through contracts, adhering to policies and compliance deadlines, and effectively managing the engineering team to exceed service standards. • Lead preventive maintenance programs and drive energy conservation at client facilities. • Assist the Engineering Manager with M&E project scope, quality, and timely deliverables. • Oversee facility, contract, and procurement management for technical services. • Implement and manage technology tools for property operations. • Supervise mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil maintenance activities. • Prepare critical spares lists, manage inventory, and coordinate ad‑hoc M&E setups. • Review contractor maintenance practices to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards. • Maintain logbooks, checklists, and PPM schedules; handle downtime and breakdown reporting. • Generate daily, service, inventory, and incident reports for the Engineering Manager. • Ensure contractors adhere to house rules and minimize client inconvenience. • Meet KPI and SLA targets, contribute to financial goals, and support AFM soft services as needed. • Effective coordination of direct and vendor staff for efficient service delivery.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a graduate degree, have 5‑7 years of engineering management experience, and preferably possess tertiary qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering.
