About the Role
The Senior Structural Engineer will lead structural production engineering projects for Drydocks World in India, creating production packages for marine and offshore projects and coordinating with the Dubai office. The role demands extensive marine, FSPO and offshore platform design experience, a focus on productivity, quality and budget adherence, and the ability to manage resources and continuous improvement. • Coordinate daily activities of DDW India engineering office and collaborate with DDW Dubai teams. • Prepare engineering deliverables, man-hour estimates and schedules for structural projects. • Plan and organise project staff and structural engineering programs in consultation with Dubai engineers. • Manage engineering changes and approvals to meet Dubai office requirements. • Ensure work is performed safely, with high quality, environmental compliance and cost effectiveness. • Monitor project progress against schedule and budget, allocating resources as needed. • Follow up on corrective action plans addressing quality, production, equipment and tooling issues. • Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity and profitability. • Promote a safe and healthy work environment in line with legislation and company policies. • Optimize use of department resources, equipment and manpower. • Review and develop structural processes for continuous improvement with Dubai engineering. • Assist in recruiting, hiring and training staff to meet project needs. • Oversee staff competence development and provide on-the-job training and succession planning. • Implement and monitor occupational health & safety, environmental and quality management systems. • Coordinate with procurement, production and project management to ensure optimal technical bid material delivery. • Lead strategy meetings to define safety and production efficiency and elaborate construction sequences in engineering deliverables. • Apply technical knowledge of marine and offshore projects, material selection and classification society standards. • Conduct technical reviews of material certificates and ensure compliance with DNV-GL, ABS, LR, Norsok, BS, EN, ISO, API standards. • Resolve technical issues during engineering and execution phases using cost-analysis and design expertise. • Manage program and project documentation using tools such as Tekla Structure, Cadmatic, Navisworks, AutoCAD and other 3D modelling software.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills and ability to handle multiple projects under pressure. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and at least 15 years of relevant shipyard/offshore experience. • Provide a minimum of 10 years in production engineering with hands‑on marine and offshore projects and 5 years on shipyard or heavy industrial sites.
