About the Role
The Critical Facilities Engineer is responsible for operating, managing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, power, plumbing, fire control, roofing, and exterior grounds systems. The role works with limited supervision, partnering with senior team members and service providers to support vendor work, maintain accurate site documentation, respond to incidents, and assist with infrastructure projects. Through collaboration, problem‑solving, and attention to detail, the engineer helps keep the facility safe, efficient, and well‑functioning. A key part of the job is monitoring the Building Monitoring System, handling alarms, and implementing energy‑efficiency measures while ensuring all work follows established procedures. The engineer also coordinates vendor activities, tracks work approvals, and updates technical files to keep plant documentation current. Additionally, the position involves generating site logs, identifying single points of failure, and conducting root‑cause analysis to support continuous improvement. • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, power, plumbing, fire suppression, roofing, and exterior grounds systems. • Conduct moderately complex repairs, installations, and inspections of critical facility components. • Monitor the Building Monitoring System (BMS), resolve specialized alarms, and recommend solutions. • Operate and maintain plumbing, fire suppression, and life‑safety systems while implementing energy‑efficiency measures. • Coordinate and direct vendor tasks, manage work approvals, and update technical documentation for plants and equipment. • Generate site logs, permits, and maintenance scripts; identify single points of failure and perform root‑cause analysis. • Complete skilled work requests, circuit installations, and advanced troubleshooting of office and auxiliary equipment. • Lead or assist with complex infrastructure projects, lifecycle maintenance, and critical replacements. • Collaborate with team members, mentor others, and effectively resolve difficult facility incidents. • Maintain optimal inventory levels of critical parts and equipment.

What You Bring
• Qualifications: High school diploma (technical training a plus); 3+ years in HVAC/electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance; knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire‑suppression systems; ability to follow SOPs and work independently.

Benefits
Compensation ranges from $84,000 to $126,000 annually, with eligibility for bonus and equity based on role and performance.
