About the Role

In this senior position, the engineer will act as the Engineer of Record on assigned projects, lead coordination meetings, and supervise staff as they carry out their tasks. Responsibilities include managing budgeting, scheduling, construction administration duties, invoicing, and client correspondence, while also establishing design standards and contributing to firmwide expert teams. The role blends technical leadership with project management to ensure high‑quality delivery across complex MEP initiatives. • Act as Engineer of Record on dedicated projects. • Lead and supervise staff and coordination meetings. • Provide periodic employee evaluations. • Assist Technical Manager and Chief Engineer with training and staff mentoring. • Coordinate and assign system design and project engineering tasks. • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects. • Manage construction administration duties, including field reports, RFIs, bulletins, and addenda. • Prepare monthly project invoices and monitor accounts receivable. • Oversee correspondence with staff, clients, contractors, and owners. • Participate in the firmwide Expert Teams committee. • Contribute to budgeting, scheduling, and staff management. • Prepare proposals and administer project contracts, including service agreements. • Supervise preparation of analysis and reports of system options and building conditions.

What You Bring

Successful candidates must hold a current Professional Engineer (PE) license and possess healthcare design experience, with additional exposure to federal, critical facilities, commercial, or aviation projects. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, at least seven years of project management experience, fifteen years in consulting MEP engineering, and three years of supervisory experience are required. Proficiency in hands‑on design and CAD/REVIT is essential for directing technical staff. • Current Professional Engineer (PE) registration. • Healthcare design experience and experience with federal, critical facilities, commercial, or aviation projects. • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. • 7+ years of project management experience. • 15+ years consulting firm experience in MEP engineering (senior level). • 3+ years supervisory experience. • Hands‑on design and CAD/REVIT expertise.
