About the Role
The position reports to senior leadership and provides technical leadership for a diverse portfolio of building services projects across sectors such as health, defence, transport and data centres. The role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. • Lead design and delivery of complex electrical engineering solutions for health, defence, transport, data centres, sports facilities and other building projects. • Serve as senior technical authority, reviewing and guiding electrical design, installation strategies, and system integration. • Oversee multiple electrical projects simultaneously, balancing technical rigor, program delivery, and client expectations. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems, providing expertise on lighting, power distribution, fire and life safety, and low‑voltage systems. • Mentor and support junior and mid‑level engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional development.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates possess extensive experience in electrical engineering within building services, hold relevant professional registrations, and demonstrate deep knowledge of Australian standards and codes. Strong communication, mentoring ability and a collaborative mindset are essential. • 12+ years of electrical engineering experience in building services consultancy, senior contracting, or government, delivering technically complex projects. • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and RPEV/RPEQ registration preferred. • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, building codes, and electrical systems. • Proven ability to lead multiple technical projects and provide technical leadership. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for mentoring. • Australian citizenship preferred; defence clearance valued.
