About the Role
The Driver/Operator safely operates a heavy‑duty truck on assigned transfer routes for Waste Management. The role requires adherence to OSHA, DOT, and company standards while maintaining a clean and safe vehicle. Drivers conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report, report unsafe conditions promptly, and participate in required training and briefings. They collaborate with Operations Managers to enhance route efficiency, assist other drivers as needed, and communicate any incidents, customer requests, or route issues to dispatch or management. At the end of each day, drivers follow their route assignments and complete all required documentation. • Operate vehicle in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company standards; keep vehicle clean and safe. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the DVIR and document any issues. • Report unsafe situations or service calls to the Operations Manager or Dispatch immediately. • Participate in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and identify unsafe conditions. • Assist other drivers and perform duties as scheduled by Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Notify Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. • Alert Dispatch or Operations of route issues such as blocked containers or missed pick‑ups per Service Machine protocol. • Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager. • Dump containers, clean the customer site, and ensure no debris remains. • Submit customer tickets when excess yardage removal is required. • Position containers on customer property with lids secured, upright, and without blocking driveways or traffic. • Follow assigned routes throughout the day and complete all end‑of‑route documentation.

What You Bring
The position does not require formal education or prior experience, but a Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) and a minimum age of 18 are mandatory.
