Land Development Project Manager
Manage civil/site design projects from concept to construction

About the Role
• Provide technical expertise and manage site/civil design projects from concept through construction. • Design and detail site layout, grading, stormwater, utilities, and road improvements. • Supervise and assist staff in design production; perform engineering calculations, specifications, and plan sign‑off. • Conduct permitting, QA/QC reviews, and ensure compliance with project schedules and budgets. • Communicate with clients, managers, and peers; maintain strong client and intra‑company relationships. • Mentor in‑house designers and contribute to proposal development, fee and budget estimation. • Track financial performance, approve invoicing, and market NV5 services for business development. • Participate in professional and civic organizations.

What You Bring
The position involves office work with occasional exposure to adverse conditions, requiring repetitive finger motions, visual acuity for computer work, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly (up to 50 pounds occasionally). Flexibility for weekend, overtime, overnight travel, and occasional additional physical duties is required. • BS in Civil Engineering and NC PE license. • Minimum 5 years of civil engineering project management experience; 10+ years in site/civil design. • Experience with commercial, institutional, healthcare, residential, or educational site projects. • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation, Water CAD, Excel, and stormwater modeling tools. • Knowledge of sustainability certifications (LEED, Green Globes) is a plus. • Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain).
