About the Role

The Electrician role involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and testing electrical equipment for generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy across client facilities. The position requires a strong understanding of wiring diagrams, schematics, and verbal instructions to effectively execute work projects. The job operates in a professional office setting, utilizing standard equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers, while also requiring regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions. The role blends office‑based tasks with on‑site electrical work across multiple locations. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment. • Plan and lay out projects using wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, blueprints, or verbal instructions. • Select correct materials for work assignments. • Establish test procedures for wiring or electrical equipment lead requirements. • Maintain electrician tools and equipment in good working order. • Work on a rotating on‑call schedule. • Repair indoor and outdoor electrical systems. • Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and apparatus. • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs across all facilities. • Repair power to main power distribution systems and panel boards. • Repair outdoor facility lighting, including signs, parking areas, and security lighting. • Respond to emergency power failures and backup systems. • Monitor and test various electrical systems. • Repair electrical systems for chillers, HVAC, pumps, generators, etc. • Repair online voltage equipment such as freezers, refrigerators, computer stations, cubicles, heaters, disposals, heat pumps, and others. • Repair line voltage for all HVAC systems. • Perform heavy lifting over 50 lb, climb ladders, and work in enclosed spaces. • Monitor and record average readings at each facility’s main electrical switchgear. • Troubleshoot blown circuit breakers and fuses. • Follow established electrical work order preventive maintenance schedules. • Replace lamps and ballasts as required. • Analyze and solve problems with various electrical controls and systems. • Frequently lift a minimum of 50 lb of equipment and safely install rigging/lifting devices. • Crouch, reach, and bend to install or move equipment. • Move between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work.

What You Bring

The position demands frequent lifting of at least 50 lb of equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. Employees must regularly crouch, reach, and bend to install or move equipment, and move between departments, floors, and properties to complete assignments. • Be willing to cross‑train in all trades. • Hold a valid electrician license or be in the process of obtaining one. • Understand state and local building codes and comply with OSHA, EPA, and other electrical regulations. • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code. • Good communication skills.
