About the Role

The Staff Accountant will join the Regional Financial team, supporting the preparation and communication of the Division’s operating and financial results. The role involves collaborating with multiple departments, including operations, escrow, and accounting, to ensure accurate reporting and timely transaction recording. Key duties include managing cash activities, handling accounts receivable and sales transactions, running job‑cost reports, and maintaining the general ledger with balance‑sheet reconciliations. The accountant will also assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, preparing working papers, variance analyses, and corporate schedules. • Prepare and communicate operating and financial results for the Division. • Perform cash management activities, including deposits and bank reconciliations. • Manage accounts receivable, sales transactions, and cost of sales entries. • Run job cost reports and ensure accurate inventory classification. • Collaborate with escrow team to monitor dates and reporting accuracy. • Record day‑to‑day accounting transactions per corporate policies. • Book routine journal entries and support quarter‑end/month‑end close. • Maintain general ledger, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and inventory tie‑outs. • Prepare month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end working papers and variance analysis. • Develop quarterly and annual corporate schedules and ad‑hoc analyses. • Participate in interdepartmental meetings to gather and share reporting information. • Assist with special projects, software enhancements, audit support, and high‑volume periods.

What You Bring

Candidates should possess or be pursuing a recognized accounting designation, hold a bachelor’s degree, and have 2–3 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, job costing, and proficiency in the MS Office suite—particularly Excel—are required, along with high attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. • Working toward or holding a recognized accounting designation. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; 2‑3 years relevant experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and computerized systems. • Understanding of job costing and project accounting. • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel. • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and in a team.
