About the Role

In this role the technician will conduct laboratory testing on construction materials, adhere to safety and quality standards, maintain laboratory organization, and handle data collection and documentation under the supervision of senior staff. ECS encourages professional growth by supporting participation in internal and external training programs and offering opportunities to obtain ASTM or comparable certifications. • Perform laboratory testing on construction materials under senior supervision. • Conduct routine soils tests: Atterberg limits, gradation, swell, moisture content, unconfined compressive strength, standard and modified Proctor tests. • Follow safety protocols, QA/QC standards, and maintain a clean, organized lab environment. • Calibrate and maintain equipment per manufacturer schedules; report broken or missing tools. • Collect test data, perform calculations, reduce data, and accurately document results. • Perform occasional administrative duties as assigned. • Obtain and maintain laboratory certifications for soils (and optionally concrete) per ASTM or similar standards.

What You Bring

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift at least 50 pounds, hold a valid driver’s license and insurance, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork abilities. • High school diploma or GED required. • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. • Valid driver’s license and insurance required. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
