About the Role
This position manages two interconnected sustainability programs within JLL’s global real‑estate and facilities team: the Zero Carbon Certification program and Supplier Decarbonization initiatives. It balances strategic program development with technical leadership, creates standardized processes for consistent delivery, and drives continuous improvement to enhance client sustainability performance and market leadership in real‑estate decarbonization. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include leading the implementation of ILFI’s Zero Carbon Volume Certification across the client’s global portfolio, reviewing project documentation for compliance, and monitoring building performance through utility and metering data. The role also builds strategic relationships with priority suppliers, designs supplier decarbonization frameworks, integrates decarbonization requirements into procurement and RFP processes, and creates training resources and technical guidance for design and construction teams while facilitating cross‑functional collaboration. • Lead implementation of ILFI Zero Carbon Volume Certification across the global portfolio. • Review project documentation to ensure compliance with Zero Carbon Certification standards. • Monitor building performance during certification periods, analyzing utility and metering data. • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to drive decarbonization initiatives. • Design and deploy supplier decarbonization frameworks, templates, and tracking tools. • Integrate decarbonization requirements into procurement and RFP processes. • Create training resources and technical guidance for design and construction teams.

What You Bring
Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, architecture, or a related field (advanced degree preferred) and at least eight years of experience in real‑estate sustainability. Candidates must have proven experience with green‑building certification programs, embodied carbon analysis or life‑cycle assessment, strong program management, stakeholder engagement, and a solid understanding of construction processes, energy‑efficiency strategies, and carbon‑reduction approaches. Preferred qualifications include Living Future Accreditation and other certifications such as LEED AP, WELL AP, or CEM, experience with EC3 or other LCA software, knowledge of ILFI Zero Carbon Certification requirements, a track record of developing supplier engagement programs, change‑management expertise, and experience with annual compliance audits and carbon‑accounting collaboration. • Require 8+ years of real‑estate sustainability experience and expertise in green‑building certifications. • Prefer candidates with Living Future Accreditation, LEED AP, WELL AP, CEM, or related certifications.

The role is based on‑site in Seattle, WA, with an estimated compensation range of $120,000 to $180,000 per year.
