About the Role
The role of Assistant Superintendent I on the JFK Airport project supports the Superintendent and Project Manager by performing a variety of construction‑related tasks, ensuring safety compliance, inspecting installations, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with field staff while working under general supervision. • Assist the project Superintendent and Project Manager with day‑to‑day construction activities. • Ensure compliance with all project safety requirements and applicable safety riders. • Inspect engineering installations for adherence to specifications and quality standards. • Maintain accurate project documentation and coordinate with administrative field staff. • Apply company procedures, policies, and business practices to achieve project goals. • Work under general supervision while handling relatively complex construction protocols.

What You Bring
Successful incumbents must hold all required licenses and certifications, possess thorough knowledge of company policies and safety riders, and be capable of handling moderately complex construction protocols within the limits of their experience. The position requires strong physical stamina for field work, including climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and navigating active construction zones, and the work environment involves exposure to typical site hazards, heavy machinery, and variable weather conditions. • Minimum qualifications: HSD/GED and 6 years of construction site experience (or equivalent). • Required experience: airport construction; preferred experience includes roadway utilities, drainage, paving, grading, excavation, and trade oversight. • Knowledge of construction scheduling and proficiency with software such as E‑Builder, Procore, or BlueBeam. • NYCDOB Site Safety Training (SST) certification is required. • Physical demands include climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and sustained mobility in active construction zones.
