About the Role
Document Control is treated holistically, with the team providing innovation‑focused environments that embed CDEs at organisational, programme and project levels. Activities include discovery and understanding, client adoption strategy, compliance checking, applying ISO 19650 principles and leveraging a range of CDE tools for efficient information management. The role offers the chance to work alongside highly skilled colleagues delivering information‑management strategies from the boardroom to the site for global clients. The Senior Consultant will lead CDE implementation, user management, quality assurance and training while acting as the primary contact for all CDE‑related queries. • Contribute to discovery sessions and implement CDE metadata, permissions, folder structures, workflows and processes. • Create user accounts, issue invitations and maintain security groups. • Support production of project documentation and client requirements. • Detail CDE requirements to support creation of project or programme Information Standards. • Update and adjust CDE configuration to accommodate new teams and evolving ways of working. • Monitor compliance of incoming and outgoing documents through established workflows. • Track workflow progress, report outstanding reviews and resolve blockers. • Provide regular progress reports and respond to ad‑hoc reporting requests. • Conduct audits on file naming, storage locations and user access, delivering compliance reports to stakeholders. • Act as the main point of contact for all queries and issues related to the CDE system. • Organise and deliver regular training sessions, maintain training logs and distribute user guides. • Provide in‑depth training for super users and administrators on advanced CDE functionality. • Generate ad‑hoc reports on system usage, compliance and support user‑activity requests.

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least a degree or equivalent workplace experience, with a minimum of three years’ document‑control experience and a good understanding of BIM, ISO 19650 and common CDE platforms. Advanced Microsoft Office skills and the ability to work independently, communicate clearly and lead meetings are also essential. • Experienced Document Controller with 3+ years’ experience. • Consultancy experience (favourable but not required). • Understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the context of information management and document control. • Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards (particularly Part 2) and their impact on information management. • Administrator‑level experience with at least one CDE platform (e.g., SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex, ViewPoint, Asite, Dalux). • User‑level experience with another CDE/EDMS or similar system. • Advanced Microsoft Office skills. • Experience with advanced CDE/EDMS features such as e‑procurement or ACC Take‑off. • Ability to work independently and be self‑motivated. • Ability to work in a diverse, skilled team. • Clear communication skills with all project stakeholders. • Ability to lead project meetings and contribute to team discussions. • Strong presentation and workshop facilitation skills. • Inquisitive nature and methodical approach to tasks.
