About the Role
As a Senior Technology Systems Consultant you will support design efforts on a wide range of projects, working closely with senior and supervising consultants to perform calculations and lay out highly technical spaces. You will provide trade‑specific system design layouts using CAD/BIM, conduct calculations with appropriate software, and coordinate with architectural and engineering designs under senior guidance. Additional duties include creating basic to complex designs, developing specifications and system narratives, conducting field inspections, assisting senior engineers with due‑diligence and feasibility studies, establishing design parameters, and applying knowledge of network connectivity, LAN/WAN fundamentals, and Wi‑Fi infrastructure. You will also participate in QA/QC, support project scheduling, budgeting, and manpower planning, manage construction administration tasks, process RFIs and change orders, and maintain drawing organization according to company standards. • Design and layout telecom/IT systems using CAD/BIM for diverse project types. • Perform calculations and generate specifications, narratives, and system layouts. • Conduct field inspections, assess existing conditions, and prepare feasibility reports. • Develop network connectivity concepts, including LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi infrastructure, and heat maps. • Coordinate design efforts with architects, MEP engineers, and other trade disciplines. • Participate in QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with company standards. • Assist senior team members with project scheduling, staffing, budgeting, and RFI management. • Provide construction administration support, including site inspections and detailed reports. • Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to multidisciplinary design standards.

Our Information and Communication Technology Group (ICT) in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Technology Systems Consultant with systems design experience, focusing on telecom/IT trades, to support engineering for diverse facilities including critical, corporate, sports, healthcare, airport, and educational projects, with a particular interest in aviation ICT. Candidates must have eight or more years of audiovisual, telecom, IT, or security design experience across critical facilities, healthcare, aviation, sports, corporate interiors, and educational markets. Required skills include strong written and verbal communication, organizational ability, knowledge of active network systems, structured cabling, Wi‑Fi and telephony design concepts, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit. Relevant certifications such as P.E., ICT credentials (PSP, CPP, CTS, CTS‑D, RCDD, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, PMP, etc.) are required. • Hold 8+ years of audiovisual, telecom, IT, or security design experience across critical facilities and other markets. • Possess certifications such as P.E., RCDD, CCNA/CCNP, PMP, or equivalent ICT credentials. • Offer strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
