About the Role
The Governance Manager will define and maintain the governance framework, establish structures, decision authorities, and terms of reference, and create standardized codification. They will ensure decisions are evidence‑based, controlled, and auditable, and integrate governance with assurance and audit functions. Configuration management of governance artefacts, version control, and traceability will be maintained. The manager will act as the primary interface with internal and external audit, track findings, and drive continual improvement of governance effectiveness. • Define and maintain the governance framework and decision‑making structures. • Establish standardized codification, terms of reference, and delegations of authority. • Ensure decisions are evidence‑based, controlled, auditable, and integrated with assurance and audit. • Manage configuration, version control, and traceability of governance artefacts. • Serve as primary liaison with internal and external audit to maintain continuous audit readiness. • Track, drive closure, and report on governance, assurance, and audit findings. • Monitor governance effectiveness and implement continual improvement using quality‑management principles. • Deliver a quality‑based governance operating model, committee structures, assurance plans, and governance reporting. • Achieve clear, timely decision making and positive audit outcomes, reducing repeat findings.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a talented Governance Manager to define and maintain the governance framework and oversee governance structures. This role is central to ensuring governance aligns with the organization’s strategic objectives. Success will be measured by clear, timely decision making, positive assurance and audit outcomes, reduced repeat findings, and senior leadership confidence in governance effectiveness. The role requires demonstrated experience in governance design, quality management systems, audit environments, and familiarity with ISO‑based frameworks. Essential skills include high professional independence, strong stakeholder and executive engagement, an analytical and evidence‑driven mindset, and the ability to balance governance rigor with operational pragmatism. Candidates need at least 18 years of progressive experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, and preferably postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications. • Apply 18+ years of governance, quality management or audit experience and a relevant bachelor’s degree; postgraduate qualifications or certifications are a plus. • Demonstrate high professional independence, strong executive stakeholder engagement, and an analytical, evidence‑driven mindset.
