About the Role
• Provide legal advice on contract interpretation, risk management, and regulatory compliance. • Draft and review a variety of commercial agreements. • Advise on advertising, marketing campaigns, and customer competitions. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align legal support with business goals and mitigate risks. • Offer strategic legal counsel to senior management and other departments. • Monitor legal developments and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations. • Assist in developing and implementing legal policies and procedures. • Manage relationships with external counsel and third‑party advisors. • Communicate effectively and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

What You Bring
• Hold an LLB (or equivalent) with admission to practice law in Australia and a current practising certificate. • Possess at least 5 years of post‑qualification experience in commercial/corporate law, preferably within convenience retailing or energy sectors. • Demonstrate in‑depth knowledge of Australian Consumer Law; familiarity with competition law is a plus. • Exhibit strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. • Maintain high integrity, professionalism and meticulous attention to detail. • Show strategic thinking, negotiation, legal research and stakeholder management skills. • Work independently while also being team‑focused, displaying adaptability and resilience.
