About the Role

The role requires applying civil and structural engineering principles while managing projects from concept through completion, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include resolving reinforced‑concrete construction issues, maintaining budgets, schedules, and quality standards, and adhering to established design procedures for power delivery systems such as substations and transmission lines. The engineer will serve as the record‑holder for design projects, review design documents, perform value‑engineering analyses, conduct occasional site inspections, and help prepare project proposals. • Apply civil/structural engineering principles and manage projects from start to finish. • Resolve reinforced concrete construction issues to client satisfaction. • Maintain project budgets, schedules, and quality standards. • Follow and improve company design procedures and industry standards for power delivery. • Serve as engineer of record on civil/structural design projects. • Review and delegate review of design documents, including fabrication shop drawings. • Conduct value‑engineering analyses to deliver cost‑competitive designs. • Perform site visits to inspect construction quality as needed. • Assist in preparing project proposals. • Communicate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams; lead or contribute to project teams.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a B.S. or M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering and have 0‑5+ years of design or project‑management experience, with renewable‑energy exposure considered a plus. They should be authorized to work in the United States, knowledgeable of U.S. structural codes (ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, ACI) and optionally Canadian standards, and possess expertise in reinforced concrete, anchorage, and structural steel design. Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to lead or contribute to project teams, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam) are required. Travel to project sites for short durations a few times per year is expected. • Hold a BS or MS in Civil or Structural Engineering; 0‑5+ years of relevant experience. • Possess knowledge of U.S. structural codes (ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, ACI) and optionally Canadian codes. • Demonstrate proficiency in reinforced concrete, anchorage, and structural steel design. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment and stay highly organized. • Familiarity with software such as STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and related tools is beneficial. • Willingness to travel short trips (1‑2 days) to project sites in the U.S. or Canada.
