About the Role

The Resident Engineer leads or acts as a solo inspector for bridge and highway construction, measuring and calculating quantities and documenting daily work with reports, photos, and sketches. They oversee complete inspection documentation—including pay estimates, change orders, daily reports, quantity checks, meeting minutes, and material certificationsScheduler—ensure work complies with specifications, apply project plans and company policies, maintain project records, and communicate with all project levels. The role also coordinates site activities, resolves work‑related problems, and provides coaching and mentorship to other construction inspectors. • Lead or solo inspect bridge and highway construction projects. • Measure and calculate quantities; document daily work with reports, photos, and sketches. • Oversee inspection documentation, including pay estimates, change orders, material certifications, and meeting minutes. • Ensure work complies with specifications, company policies, and project standards. • Coordinate site activities and resolve work‑related problems. • Coach, mentor, and provide direction to other extent construction inspectors.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least five years of construction engineering or inspection experience, and a valid U.S. driver’s license.
