About the Role

• Lead and grow the Pacific Northwest Cultural Resources team, fostering an inclusive, high‑performing culture. • Mentor principal‑ and lead‑level staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage hiring and retention strategies. • Provide senior technical leadership, ensure consistent quality control, and stay current on regulatory requirements. • Build and maintain long‑term client relationships while identifying new business opportunities. • Oversee budgets, proposals, contracts, and monitor financial metrics such as utilization and profitability.

What You Bring

• Hold a graduate degree in anthropology, archaeology, geology, historic preservation, or a related field. • Minimum 10 years of cultural resources management experience and 5 years of progressive leadership experience. • Expertise in NHPA (Section 106), NEPA, and regional regulations for Alaska, Montana, Oregon, and Idaho; OQA preferred. • Eligible or listed as a Principal Investigator under an Oregon/Washington or Idaho BLM regional cultural resources permit. • Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain high‑performing professionals with strong communication skills.

The position is full‑time, salaried, and offers a hybrid or distributed work arrangement, with a strong preference for candidates located in one of the regional offices. Travel throughout the sub‑region is required to support staff, clients, and projects, and the director will collaborate with other program directors to pursue new business opportunities and uphold technical excellence.
