About the Role
The manager schedules installers and crews, maintains Salesforce and Google Calendar, orders supplies, supervises installers, carpenters, warehouse and customer‑service staff, and ensures performance standards are met. They also measure jobs, assist with deliveries, handle permits, review timesheets, and communicate production issues to other departments while maintaining safety and policy compliance. • Schedule and coordinate installation crews using Salesforce and Google Calendar. • Order and manage supplies, ensuring accurate online ordering for all product lines. • Supervise installers, carpenters, warehouse, run‑off, and customer‑service staff to meet performance goals. • Measure job dimensions, teach measurement techniques, and assist with product deliveries. • Prepare, obtain, and track permits in compliance with state regulations. • Review employee timesheets, communicate changes to payroll, and enforce company policies. • Resolve production issues promptly and liaise with other department heads. • Train, evaluate, and motivate production personnel, providing performance feedback. • Maintain safety compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company procedures. • Ensure excellent customer communication, job timeliness, and site cleanup. • Apply analytical and problem‑solving skills to improve production processes.

What You Bring
Southern Industries is seeking an experienced Production Manager for its home improvement division in North Charleston, SC. The full‑time role offers a base salary of $55‑100K plus commission and includes responsibility for overseeing all production and construction operations for products such as gutters, siding, windows, roofing, and insulation. Candidates must have 2‑5 years of home‑improvement operations experience, a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, and strong organization, problem‑solving and analytical abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Google products is required, along with knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and equal‑opportunity employment practices. The role demands physical capability, extended‑hour availability and the ability to motivate teams.
