About the Role

The Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor at C&W Services, performing a variety of custodial duties in accordance with the company's established standards, instructions, and procedures. This part‑time, second‑shift role focuses on maintaining cleanliness in interior building spaces. Typical responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and other interior surfaces, using both light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines. The role also involves vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas, spot‑cleaning and shampooing rugs as directed, and dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, with periodic high‑dusting as needed. Cleaning tasks extend to interior windows, glass, and door trims, as well as washing walls, spot‑cleaning interior walls daily, and maintaining restrooms by damp‑wiping glass, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet‑paper dispensers, and scrubbing floors. The Cleaner collects building trash, replaces liners, monitors for issues such as clogged urinals or out‑of‑order lights, and reports them, while also removing snow or ice from entrances and walkways as directed. Additional periodic work may include high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing, plus any other duties assigned. • Sweep, mop, and wash floors and interior surfaces using commercial buffers and shampoo machines. • Vacuum rugs, spot‑clean and shampoo them as directed. • Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trims, light fixtures, and perform high‑dusting. • Wash interior windows, glass, door trims, and spot‑clean walls daily. • Maintain restrooms: wipe glass, empty waste baskets, service soap and toilet‑paper dispensers, and scrub floors. • Collect building trash, replace liners, and report issues such as clogged urinals or out‑of‑order lights. • Remove snow and ice from entrances and walkways as needed. • Perform periodic tasks including high dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing. • Operate portable backpack vacuums and other cleaning equipment.

Benefits

The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $20.32 to $23.90, with compensation determined by factors such as geographic location, experience, collective bargaining coverage, and job type, and will not be below minimum wage.
