About the Role

The role of Advanced Aerospace Model‑Based Systems Engineer supports AFLCMC programs, focusing on system design, requirements analysis, and engineering challenges to modernize and sustain advanced aircraft capabilities, working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. • Analyze, model, design, and engineer current and future aircraft capabilities for AFLCMC programs. • Develop and apply digital methods to enhance acquisition processes and future aircraft capabilities. • Manage system models using SysML and tools like Cameo System Modeler, leading large‑scale model implementations. • Update models to reflect acquisition strategies, technical designs, and system decisions. • Define system use cases, activities, and behaviors while supporting model and data management standards. • Create scripts or applications to improve data integration, usability, and accessibility. • Collaborate with engineering leads and SMEs to tailor MBSE to project scope, cost, and schedule constraints. • Translate document‑based engineering processes into model‑based deliverables and acquisition documents. • Coordinate across diverse teams in a fast‑paced environment to ensure efficient system development and integration. • Obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a BS in engineering or applied science, at least 10 years of system modeling experience, proficiency with SysML and Cameo System Modeler, ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, and preferred MS degree, software development skills in Python/C/C++, and OCSMP‑MBF certification within 12 months. • Hold a BS in engineering or applied science with 10+ years of system modeling experience. • Demonstrate proficiency in SysML and Cameo System Modeler (or MagicDraw). • Prefer candidates with an MS degree, Python/C/C++ development skills, and OCSMP‑MBF certification within 12 months. • Possess experience with aircraft engineering, large‑scale system modeling, and DoD weapon systems acquisition.
