About the Role

The Estimator II will lead the pre‑award estimating process for electrical projects, interpreting bid documents, defining scope, and identifying risks. Responsibilities include performing detailed material takeoffs, obtaining and evaluating vendor quotes, entering data into Accubid, and coordinating reviews with the preconstruction director and regional executives. After bid submission, the estimator follows up with clients, compiles final award documentation, and transfers scope and budget information to the project management team. • Review bid documents to define scope, identify risks, and establish client expectations. • Perform accurate electrical material takeoffs and enter data into Accubid. • Obtain, evaluate, and select vendor quotes for lighting, power distribution, generators, etc. • Coordinate the estimating process with vendors, subcontractors, subconsultants, and internal estimators. • Schedule and conduct estimate reviews with the preconstruction director and regional executives. • Follow up with clients after bid submission to gather additional information and address alternates. • Compile award documentation, including bid files, quotes, schedules, and budgets, and transfer scope to project management. • Support junior team members and mentor them on estimating techniques.

Candidates must possess advanced knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems, be proficient with Bluebeam, Accubid, Excel and other Microsoft tools, and demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and independent work skills. Physical requirements involve extended desk work, occasional lifting of at least 10 lb, and the ability to navigate uneven surfaces and wear PPE during site visits. • Advanced understanding of commercial/industrial electrical systems and related codes. • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications across trades. • Proficiency with Bluebeam, Accubid, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Dynamics. • Strong analytical, detail‑oriented, and deadline‑driven work ethic. • Excellent verbal and written communication for interfacing with contractors, architects, and engineers. • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced environment. • Experience building and maintaining client and third‑party relationships.
