About the Role
The Facility Manager provides leadership and management for the facilities organization at a specific location, set of buildings, or campus. This role implements policies, procedures, programs, and workplace services to ensure a well‑managed and well‑maintained environment, emphasizing responsive tenant support, environmental health and safety, and quality aligned with client goals. The position coordinates daily operations, financials, vendors, and manpower to meet current and future building needs, while ensuring accurate documentation, budget preparation, and performance reporting. It also includes hiring, training, and motivating staff, as well as monitoring tenant and vendor insurance compliance and handling claims. • Oversee daily facility operations including custodial, life‑safety, engineering, site services, and maintenance per policies and client directives. • Manage contracts: conduct regular reviews, issue bids as needed, and verify invoices match contract pricing. • Supervise interior and exterior maintenance programs to preserve property condition and appearance. • Respond promptly to tenant and occupant requests, ensuring issues are resolved according to SLA requirements. • Maintain accurate site documentation such as Property Information Books, safety logs, as‑built drawings, and performance reports. • Prepare, review, and approve budgets, financial reports, contracts, expenditures, and purchase orders. • Coordinate annual budget preparation, quarterly reforecast, and business planning processes. • Assist in developing capital budgets and five‑year maintenance improvement plans. • Collect, analyze, and report facility management data to assess objectives and performance. • Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate facility personnel, fostering positive staff relations. • Ensure tenant and vendor compliance with insurance requirements and manage related claims.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate strong communication, technical, problem‑solving, leadership, teamwork, relationship, and financial management skills. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management, or Business Administration. • Possess 5‑7 years of commercial high‑rise or campus property management experience; leasing, construction, and engineering background preferred. • Preferred certifications include Certified Facility Manager (CFM), IFMA, BOMA, and other relevant engineering or business credentials. • Ability to read construction specifications and blueprints and interpret management agreements. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledgeable in financial systems (Yardi a plus) and experienced with CMMS/Work Order and Building Management Systems.
