About the Role

Located in San Diego, CA, this regular, non‑exempt finance role provides administrative and financial services to a profit center and reports to the Senior Accountant or Financial Manager of Finance Reporting HQ. The annual salary range is estimated between $66,000 and $78,000. The incumbent assists the accountant in meeting client contractual billing and accounts‑receivable requirements, audits client billing and project ledgers for GAAP and policy compliance, and processes vendor and subcontractor invoices while managing lien waivers, contracts, and insurance documentation. Additional duties include supporting the monthly close, updating project assets and rentals for insurance purposes, and facilitating project financial closeout and audit requests. • Assist accountant to ensure client billing and accounts receivable comply with contractual requirements. • Audit client billing and project ledgers in accordance with GAAP and company policy. • Process vendor invoices and maintain up‑to‑date accounts payable for assigned projects. • Process subcontractor invoices, verify lien waivers, and ensure contracts and insurance are in place. • Support monthly close by posting or accruing client bills and project costs of material value. • Provide monthly updates of project assets and rentals for insurance documentation. • Assist with project financial closeout, confirming final contract amounts and required documentation. • Respond to internal and external audit requests as needed. • Maintain accurate data entry and database records using MS Office applications.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance—or an equivalent combination of education and experience—and possess a solid grasp of basic accounting principles. The role requires high organization, attention to detail, independent and team‑oriented work habits, adherence to established procedures, strong work ethic, and professional written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in data entry, databases, and MS Office. The position involves physical activities such as climbing stairs and ladders, handling tools, occasional heavy lifting, and working on construction sites exposed to noise, weather, moving equipment, and potential hazards.
