About the Role
Lead Design Engineer I – Civil Structural is responsible for the study, design, specification, and services of transportation systems (road, rail, airport, seaport), bridges, infrastructure, drainage, underground utilities, hydrology/hydraulics, water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, water resources and raw water supply, tunnels, geotechnical design, and other civil engineering works. Operating under broad direction, the role functions as a technical specialist whose decisions and recommendations are recognized as authoritative and have far‑reaching impact on extensive engineering activities. The engineer negotiates critical and controversial issues with senior engineers and officers of other organizations and provides advisory and consulting work as a recognized authority for broad program areas or intensely specialized fields. This role contributes directly to value creation for the company. • Lead the study, design, specification, and delivery of transportation systems, bridges, infrastructure, drainage, and underground utilities. • Perform hydrology, hydraulics, water treatment, wastewater, water resources, tunnel, and geotechnical engineering design. • Serve as an authoritative technical specialist, making critical decisions and recommendations. • Negotiate complex issues with senior engineers and external organizations. • Provide advisory and consulting services across broad or specialized civil engineering programs.
