About the Role

The carpenter will plan, layout, and execute all carpentry work according to plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards, and may assist in other trades as needed under project supervision. • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transport, material storage, and time. • Apply high proficiency in trade mathematics. • Inspect subordinates' work for accuracy and compliance, explain deficiencies, and take corrective action. • Maintain positive relationships with crew members. • Deliver high‑quality work safely and productively. • Ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are available for work. • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards, and use relevant trade tools and equipment. • Use telephone, computer, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis for communication. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Move in confined spaces and uneven areas; climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. • Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects; occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

What You Bring

The role requires at least two years of experience as a Journeyman Carpenter with bridge and wall construction expertise; ADOT experience is a plus. Candidates must pass a pre‑employment drug test, be available for overtime, and will be paid $34.50 per hour plus cash fringe benefits for an anticipated two‑year project. • Possess 1‑4 years of industrial/commercial construction experience depending on level, with in‑depth carpentry knowledge. • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. • Wear required personal protective equipment (steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.). • Frequently reach above shoulder height and below waist; occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts performing hard physical work in varied temperatures and outdoor conditions.
