About the Role

The Maintenance Technician B works under the direction of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager to repair and maintain a variety of diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. Responsibilities include working on chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulics, electrical, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain and steering systems, as well as basic tire services. The role offers the chance to work on a single fleet of state‑of‑the‑art vehicles, receive training on new technologies, and enjoy stable shift hours. Technicians must maintain a solid working knowledge of vehicle components to perform preventative and corrective maintenance both on‑site and on the road. Tasks include line‑maintenance welding and fabrication, safe road service, diagnosing malfunctions with electronic tools, and completing required company training. The position also involves other job‑related duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Candidates should have at least one year of hands‑on experience diagnosing and repairing gasoline and diesel equipment, or be a recent graduate of an accredited automotive program. A basic understanding of work‑order labor standards, experience with Class 1‑5 and Class 7‑8 trucks (or similar heavy‑duty equipment), and a valid driver’s licence are required; ASE certifications and a Commercial Driver’s Licence are considered assets. • ASE certifications (T1‑T8) are a plus • Commercial Driver’s License is a plus • Valid driver’s license required • Minimum 1 year technician experience or recent automotive graduate • Basic understanding of work‑order labor time standards • Ability to inspect suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions

The pay range for this role is $25.90 to $35.65 per hour, dependent on geographic location, and eligible employees can participate in a comprehensive benefits package.
