About the Role

The Technical Manager, Mobile Engineering will lead and grow the Android and iOS development teams in Irvine, CA. This hands‑on technical leader will guide architecture and development of next‑generation mobile apps built with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Swift, and SwiftUI, while partnering with product, design, and backend teams to define the mobile roadmap and ensure technical excellence at scale. • Define and scope mobile features with product, design, and internal teams. • Translate business requirements into technical specs, project plans, and schedules. • Deliver software projects on time and within budget using Agile sprints. • Document project success criteria with internal and external clients. • Hire, onboard, and develop high‑performing “A Player” engineers. • Mentor and retain team members, fostering continuous learning. • Maintain deep knowledge of the multifamily and CRE industry and CoStar’s market position. • Evaluate emerging mobile technologies to enhance the platform and development practices.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. • 6+ years of iOS and/or Android mobile development experience. • 4+ years leading or managing a development team. • Experience with mission‑critical, high‑volume mobile or web‑based systems. • Proficiency in Android/Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, iOS/Swift, SwiftUI, and related SDKs. • Strong analysis, design, and architecture skills (OOP, MVC, SOA, DI). • Unit testing and test‑driven development experience. • Familiarity with TFS/Jira, C#, SQL Server, Crashlytics. • Ability to design system architecture and manage requirements. • Agile/Scrum methodology expertise. • Mobile software development and comprehensive testing (unit, integration, performance). • Adaptability, decisiveness, and awareness of emerging mobile technologies.
