About the Role

Inspect and Hi-Pot switchboard product produced on all lines according to inspection work instructions and applicable governmental requirements to confirm proper function, identify non-conformances, and ensure compliance with customer specifications, safety, and quality standards. Document inspections on the applicable checklist. Use Hi-Pot, continuity test, and component-specific devices to perform electrical testing. Verify that switches and circuit breakers function properly. Verify torqued connections with a torque wrench as instructed. Troubleshoot, update, and develop test setups and new procedures when current procedures are inaccurate. • Perform Hi-Pot and continuity testing on switchboard products per work instructions. • Verify proper operation of switches, circuit breakers, and torqued connections. • Document inspections using checklists and maintain testing records. • Troubleshoot and develop new test setups and procedures when existing ones are inaccurate. • Ensure compliance with governmental, UL, NEC, regional utility, and customer-specific codes. • Read and interpret manufacturing documents, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings. • Apply Lean concepts and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

What You Bring

A minimum of six months manufacturing, production, or military experience or a degree in a technical discipline is required. A high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is mandatory. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Two or more years of experience in a quality or inspector role within a manufacturing environment, including experience with switchboard assembly, is required. Computer literacy and working knowledge of Lean concepts are expected. An associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in a team environment is expected. Knowledge of basic electricity, current flow, component functionality, schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly processes on all lines is necessary. Familiarity with Hi-Pot and Shunt Trip testing is required. Understanding of all assembled switchboard product designs (e.g., PRL-C, PRL-I, IFS, FDS, MF) and applicable UL, NEC, regional utility, and customer-specific codes is required. Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret manufacturing documents, front-view drawings, MIs, blow-thru diagrams, wiring diagrams, component literature, engineering drawings, and testing procedures is essential. • Minimum 2+ years experience as a Quality/Inspector in manufacturing; experience in switchboard assembly. • Hold a high school diploma; associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics preferred. • Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive, and analytical problem-solving skills. • Computer literate; proficient with torque wrenches and test equipment.
