About the Role
The Environmental Advisor will support the Framework HS&E Manager by driving the implementation of the health, safety, environment strategy and the associated management system, ensuring projects meet exemplary environmental standards throughout their lifecycle. In this role you will maintain the Environmental Management System, give advice to operational teams from planning through completion, carry out inspections, audits and ISO 14001 assessments, analyse KPI data to foster continual improvement, and lead or support incident investigations using the M2i system. You will also engage with clients, regulators and supply‑chain partners, manage onboarding and performance of partners where required, deliver training and briefings, and raise any concerns to the HS&E Manager. • Support implementation of the HS&E strategy and promote a positive environmental culture. • Maintain and continuously improve the Environmental Management System to meet client and regulatory requirements. • Provide environmental advice and guidance to project teams from planning to completion. • Conduct environmental inspections, audits and ISO 14001 assessments. • Analyse environmental KPIs and performance data to drive continual improvement. • Lead or support environmental incident investigations and manage reporting via the M2i system. • Engage with internal teams, clients, regulators, supply‑chain partners and industry bodies. • Manage onboarding and performance of supply‑chain partners where required. • Design and deliver environmental training, briefings and awareness sessions. • Escalate environmental concerns to the Framework HS&E Manager and Operations teams.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has experience in an environmental position within construction, infrastructure, water or another regulated sector, a solid understanding of environmental legislation and management systems, and exposure to the full project lifecycle. Strong written and verbal communication, collaborative and proactive working style, proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting tools, a NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate (or progress towards one), a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are also required. • Demonstrated experience in an environmental role within construction, infrastructure or water sectors. • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, management systems and risk management. • Proven ability to work across the full project lifecycle, including design and construction. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholder‑influence capability. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental reporting systems. • NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate (or progress towards qualification). • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across projects. • Desirable: Membership of IEMA and experience working on water or infrastructure frameworks.
